6.1.9. Damping racks of a forward suspension bracket

Damping racks are the telescopic guides and the bearing devices of a forward suspension bracket providing also turn of the operated car wheels. At the same time racks perform functions of the damping element of a suspension bracket extinguishing it fluctuations on springs at the movement of the car.

By the principles of the device and work damping racks are similar to the ordinary hydraulic telescopic shock-absorbers of two-pipe type including used in a back suspension bracket of the car of fashion. 2141.

However, since December, 1997 as option damping racks with the plug-in non-demountable boss of Spimec (France) which in case of failure have to be replaced entirely are established. Designation of the boss 9477300307-03.

Methods of repair are described on the example of a domestic rack of production of the Grodno plant of automobile shock-absorbers.
