Locks of side doors have bifurcate gearing. They consist of two independent knots: the external lock 1 (see rice. Installation of locks and handles of a forward door) and the internal lock 8 forward side doors and, respectively, 1 (see rice. Installation of locks and handles of a back door) and the 12th back side door, connected by two screws 14 (3) (see rice. Installation of locks and handles of a forward door) in one knot at installation on a door. One of knots – the external lock, represents the locking device which is directly interacting with the latch 13 (2) locks fastening on racks of doorways of a body. The second knot – the internal lock, represents the mechanism of the drive of the locking device which is carrying out processes of change of kinematics of elements of the locking device. An internal part of the lock is connected by drafts with internal 18 (8) both external 3 (14) handles of the drive of the lock and the button 2 (10) of blocking of locks. Besides, internal locks of forward doors are connected with switches 5, the locked keys.
Prevention
For an exception of possible jamming of doors it is necessary to check periodically an inhaling of screws of fastening of external locks of side doors and latches of locks.
External locks (see rice. Internal and external locks of a door) the left doors (forward and back) and the right doors (forward and back) are unified and interchangeable.
Internal locks of doors are not unified, but have essentially identical design.
For the purpose of increase in safety in transit of children on back sitting, internal locks of back doors have blocking bringing the internal handle of a door; when lowering the lever of blocking acting at a door end face under the lock, the back door can be opened only outside.
Locks of all doors have blocking. Blocking of back doors is carried out by the button 10 (see rice. Installation of locks and handles of a back door), forward doors – the button 2 (see rice. Installation of locks and handles of a forward door) from within or a key outside (for forward doors).
All types of repair of the internal lock of side doors demand its removal from the car.

| 4. To disconnect a spring 16 (6) from draft 15 (5), to raise draft over a support 17 (7) and, turning draft, to take out the back end of draft from the plug 13 (see rice. Internal and external locks of a door) on the lever of the internal drive of the lock 14. |
| 5. From within a door to turn off from the external handle a nut 11 (13) (see rice. Glass of a partition and a protective lattice of a body like "pickup") fastenings of the lever 12 (17) of the external drive to remove this lever from the handle together with draft 9 (16) external drives and, turning draft with the lever, to take out the end of draft from the plug 13 (see rice. Internal and external locks of a door) on the lever 17 of the external drive of the internal lock. |
| 6. To put into place the lever of the external drive removed in the previous operation with draft and to fix it by a nut 11 (13) (see rice. Installation of locks and handles of a forward door). |
| 7. To disconnect draft of the 10th button of blocking on a forward door or draft (11) of blocking on a back door from the internal lock. Vertical draft of the 10th button of blocking on a forward door and longitudinal draft (11) of blocking on a back door fasten to the lock by means of the plastic holder 7 (4). |
| 8. For release of draft it is necessary to turn the plastic holder around an axis to an exit from gearing with draft then the end of draft can be taken out freely from an opening in the holder. |
| 9. Supporting the internal lock, to turn out two screws 14 (3) of fastening of locks, at the same time both locks – internal and external will be released. After that to remove them from a door. |
