10.2.20. Removal and installation of the back buffer of a body like "hatchback"

The plastic back buffer 6 (see rice. Installation of the back buffer) fastens to a body in six places: in two places sideways and four places behind.

Side fastening of the buffer is carried out by the bolt 7 which is screwed in in a nut 9. The nut 9 is located on an arm of the 10th buffer and the buffer to the arm 8 welded on a floor nastavka fixes.

Back fastening of the buffer is carried out by two welded bolts 4 and nuts 5 to the lower panel of a back and two bolts 1 to a floor longeron. The nut 2 is welded on an arm 3 on the buffer on which also the bolt 4 is welded.

To the side place of fastening of the buffer there is an access from below of the car, the back point of fastening of the buffer is also rather easily available (to a floor longeron).

For access to back points of fastening (by means of a welded bolt) it is necessary to raise an upholstery of the luggage compartment from within the car.
