9.7.2. Assembly and installation of a bracket

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Assembly of a bracket is made upside-down dismantling taking into account the following.
2. The internal surface of cylinders needs to be greased with fresh brake fluid.
3. Sealing rings of the case of cylinders and protective caps should be replaced with new.
4. Sealing rings of the case of cylinders and the external surfaces of pistons to wash out and grease with fresh brake fluid.
5. To insert pistons into cylinders by effort of fingers, without using any tools.
6. It is necessary to install flexible hoses on a bracket before its installation on the car. At the same time sealing aluminum washers with a diameter of 10,3 mm need to be replaced with new. It is strictly forbidden to apply the specified washers made of copper.
7. Before installation of the repaired bracket on the car it is necessary to make sure available a necessary gap between a frame and a support
8. For this purpose, having convinced that the frame reliably rests on a ledge in a middle part of a basic plate of an external block, to press to the frame plane a flat metal plate 0,5 mm thick and about 10-15 mm wide.
9. Then it is necessary to move a plate into a gap on 15–20 mm.
10. Free movement of the plate pressed to a frame at the specified size without contact about support arms confirms existence of a necessary gap.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation of a bracket on the car needs to be carried out as it should be, the return to removal, taking into account the following.
2. The moment of an inhaling of bolts of fastening of a bracket has to be 70–80 N · m (7–8 kgfs · м).
3. At connection of pipelines to flexible hoses it is not necessary to allow twistings of hoses. For this purpose at a supply of the end of a hose to an arm it is impossible to interfere with rotation of a hose (the brake disk at this operation has to settle down along the car), at further performance of operation it is necessary to exclude a provorachivaniye of tips.
4. If flexible hoses on the car are fixed by means of nuts and spring washers, then for simplification of their installation on an arm previously to put on the last pipelines.
5. After installation of a bracket it is necessary to be convinced of the correct mutual provision of an external brake shoe and frame, and then to pump over a hydraulic actuator, beginning operation of pumping with removal of air from the established bracket.
