9.4. Removal and dismantling of the main cylinder of a brake

For simplification of carrying out separate operations the main cylinder can be fixed in a vice, clamping it on end faces of lugs for hydrotubes. Between sponges of a vice and end faces of lugs it is necessary to establish laying from plates of soft metal (aluminum, copper).

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To clear of dirt the main cylinder, the vacuum amplifier and pipelines departing from the main cylinder of a brake.
2. To disconnect pipelines from the main cylinder.
3. To remove the main cylinder, having turned off two nuts of its fastening to the vacuum amplifier.
4. To uncover 21 (see rice. The main cylinder and the vacuum amplifier of a brake) from a filling tank 20 and to merge brake fluid.
5. To arrange the main cylinder a tank down and, having pressed several times the piston 7 of the first camera, to remove brake fluid from the main cylinder.
6. Using a wooden shovel as the lever, to remove a tank from the cylinder.
7. To take connecting plugs 19 from the case of the main cylinder.
8. Flat-nose pliers with narrow and thin sponges to take a persistent pin of the 18th piston of the second camera.
9. To remove a lock ring 1, using kruglogubets with the thin ends.
10. By effort of a hand for a shaft of the piston 7 of the first camera to take the piston with cuffs and prostavochny washers. If at the same time the piston of the second camera is not taken, then for removal of the details which remained in the main cylinder blows of an end face of the cylinder from the camera II about a pure board to advance the piston via the first camera and to take out it.
