Operability of the mechanism of the manual drive of the parking brake system is provided with the course of the lever 4 from 3 to 8 of teeth of the sector.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If the lever 4 course (see rice. The drive of the parking brake system) more than 8 teeth of the sector, it is necessary to make adjustment of the mechanism of the parking brake system as follows.
2. To weaken a lock-nut 25 on a carving tip of the 17th forward cable.
3. Wrapping an adjusting nut 25 on a carving tip of a forward cable, to achieve that the course of the lever 4 did not exceed 3–5 teeth of the sector.
4. To tighten a lock-nut 25.

If such adjustment does not restore operability of the parking brake system (that can be in case of the increased wear of frictional overlays of brake shoes), then it is necessary to adjust brake mechanisms of back wheels in addition. In this case adjustment of the parking brake system is carried out as follows.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To hang out back wheels of the car. At impossibility of simultaneous posting of back wheels it is possible to hang out them serially.
2. To lower the lever 4 (see rice. Drive of the parking brake system) of the mechanism of the manual drive of the parking brake system in extreme lower situation.
3. To completely weaken a tension of a back cable for what to turn off a lock-nut and an adjusting nut 25 so that between an adjusting nut and the plug 26 the gap made 5–10 mm.
4. To take out a rubber cap 1 (see rice. Details of the drive of the parking brake system) from an opening 2 in a board of a brake 6 and, having inserted the screw-driver into this opening, to rotate a gear adjusting nut 3 expansion levels clockwise (if to look in the direction of forward wheels). To continue rotation until the wheel does not begin to be applied brakes partially.
5. To pull 2–3 times a back cable a hand and to press 2–3 times a pedal to a brake, and then, turning off an adjusting nut counterclockwise, to achieve the termination of a zadevaniye of the brake drum for blocks.
6. To repeat the mentioned operations on the back brake mechanism of other wheel.
7. Rotation of an adjusting nut 25 (see rice. The drive of the parking brake system) to pull drive cables so that wheels were turned by a hand without podtormazhivaniye. The lever 4 course providing operability of the parking brake system has to be within 3–5 teeth of the sector.
8. To tighten a lock-nut 25 and to insert rubber caps into openings of boards of back brake mechanisms.
