It is necessary to wash out a chain in kerosene, then to check a condition of its links. On rollers and brushes chips, cracks and other damages are not allowed.
During the operation of the engine the chain is extended. It is considered rabotososobny if the natyazhitel provides a tension i.e. if the chain was extended no more than on 4 mm.
The extract of a chain is checked on adaptation having two rollers 1 which the chain is put on. To stretch a chain by effort of 30 kgfs, then to reduce effort to 15 kgfs, to repeat both operations and to measure distance of L between axes rollers.
For a new chain the distance of L between axes rollers makes 495 0,5–0,4 mm: if the chain was extended to 499,4 mm, it should be replaced.
