11.6.2.3. Dismantling of a starter

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To turn off the lower contact bolt and to disconnect a conclusion 10 (see rice. Starter 4216.3708.) excitement windings.
2. To unscrew screws of fastening of the relay to a cover from the drive and to remove the relay.
3. To turn off nuts on coupling hairpins.
4. To unscrew two screws and to take off a cap 5.
5. To remove lock 3 and adjusting washers from a shaft 4 anchors.
6. To uncover 1 from a collector, to a traverse 7, the case 32 and a cover 20 from the drive.
7. To take out an anchor together with the drive.
8. To shift easy blow to an end face a cylindrical persistent washer 24 towards the drive, then by means of the screw-driver to move apart a spring castle ring and to take out it from bore of a shaft of an anchor.
9. To remove a spring ring, a persistent washer from a shaft of an anchor and the drive.

After dismantling carefully to clear starter details, to wash out gasoline or kerosene and to wipe with a pure rag.
Prevention

In order to avoid washing away of lubricant from porous bronze-and-graphite bearings of covers of a starter and from the drive do not wash these details in gasoline or kerosene.
