7.3. Wear of tires

The accelerated uniform wear of a protector of tires testifies or to its poor quality, or to existence of malfunctions in the car, and accelerated uneven, as a rule, about malfunction of the car.

Intensity of wear is influenced by such factors as speed of the movement of the car, pro-slipping of wheels at intensive dispersal and sharp braking, temperature and a state (including moisture content) a paving.

On cars of families 2141 and 2335 big loading is the share of forward tires therefore they wear out more intensively, than back. Assessment of intensity of uniform wear of tires is usually complicated, and the main attention should be paid to the prevention of uneven wear.

It should be noted that increase in pressure of air tires significantly reduces the general intensity of wear at its bigger uniformity. Therefore it is possible to recommend maintenance in tires of excess pressure of 0,2 kgfs · to m if some decrease in comfortableness at the same time is acceptable from the point of view of operation of the car.

It must be kept in mind that for modern tires with a wide profile excessive pressure does not lead to emergence of the increased iznos in central
parts of a protector. However excessive pressure in tires worsens comfortableness of the car and reduces its durability owing to increase in level of vibrations.
