8.6. Technical condition of the driveshaft and a steering column before dismantlingDRIVESHAFT
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. To check cardan hinges 18 (see rice. Steering) and 21 and connections of the elastic coupling 20 with shaft on existence of gaps and also to check a condition of sealing rings of 56 bearings and the elastic coupling. |
| 2. Existence of cracks, gaps and other defects is not allowed. To replace the damaged details new. |
| 3. At detection of the raised gaps in bearings of cardan hinges and expansion plugs of 61 elastic couplings the driveshaft needs to be sorted and repaired. |

STEERING COLUMN
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. To examine a steering column, having paid special attention to a condition of bearings 22 and 27 and the plug 26 of a shaft of steering. |
| 2. Turning a shaft 32 it is necessary to be convinced that it rotates in bearings without knocks and jammings. |
| 3. The internal plug of the lower bearing 22 should not be turned in a holder of the lower bearing, and the plug 26 – in an internal ring of the bearing 27. The plug 26 should not have cracks and other defects. |
| 4. At detection of knocks, jammings, damages of the plug 26 of a shaft the steering column needs to be replaced. |
